When I was growing up, one of my favorite things to do at Christmas time was go to my Aunt Kay and Uncle Dave's house. We always had SO much fun. We would bake sugar cookies, exchange presents, get a visit from Cookie Monster (my uncle in costume) and just spend time together as a family.
Well this year I got to share that tradition with my own children, and it was honestly one of my favorite days of 2010.
On the 22nd, David and I packed up Luke and Abbey right before their nap time and got on the road. They slept most of the way, and when they weren't sleeping they just played or stared out the window and hardly fussed at all. They both did SO well on the 2 and 1/2 hour road trip, we were thrilled!
Once we got there we were greeted by my Aunt and Uncle, my Mom and StepDad, my grandparents, 3 of my 4 sisters, and 2 of their boyfriends. Oh, and of course my Aunt and Uncle's "kids" =)...These dogs were AMAZING with my babies. I couldn't believe how gentle they were, and how tolerant they were when a baby would grab a fist full of hair and yank. I was also surprised how fearless Abbey and Luke were of the dogs, they just lunged for them!

Dinner time! Everyone over 2 feet tall had DELICIOUS steaks, sweet potatoes, and bread. Mmm..mmm.mmm..my mouth waters just thinking about it!

(don't let the picture start rumors, I am not 6 months pregnant, it's just my dress and the way it is hanging in my ridiculous pose)
After we had our wonderful meal, we did a really fun gift exchange. The deal was you brought "something that makes you smile" for $15 or under, and then we drew numbers and picked gifts and stole from each other =)
Like I said, one of my favorite days in all of 2010.
