It just doesn't get much better...

then the last 24 hours have been!! Yesterday after work I darted home to pick up my sweet husband and my sweet little sister Emily who had come to visit for the night. We had reservations at 5:45 in Heaven, or otherwise known as The Melting Pot. It was Em's first time there (and only Dave and I's second, but I visit there in my dreams so often it feels like I have been 100 times!)
She was a fan, to say the least...

We started with the cheese appetizers, which were delicious, of course, and then moved on to cooking our entrees.

David was in charge of all Search and Rescue missions for missing potatoes, broccoli, or mushrooms...
He served us well. He made us proud.

Emily eagerly anticipating the next cooked item...

And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, they brought out the dessert...

My oh my.

After we had each had our fill of delicious fruit, graham crackers, oreo covered marshmallows, pound cake, cheese cake, and brownies in chocolate, marshmallow cream, and crushed graham crackers, we headed home. Happier than we had ever been.

This picture is all blurry and I look like a 90 year old with a blanket over me like a shall, but it pretty much sums up the rest of our evening. Once we had changed into comfy, stretchy clothes that fit our newly expanded waist lines more appropriately, we each played with out respective blogs. (and since I finally figured out the whole dark-brown-background-dilemma, I was able to change back to the background I had prior. Hooray!!)

We all slept in, had some homemade biscuits and gravy (good thing we still had our comfy, stretchy clothes on!) and then watched the movie The Holiday. LOVE that movie!!

After Emily left this afternoon, I headed to meet two friends for pedicures. I know, decadent. I just had one like 2 months ago before we left for Hawaii. But ohhhh it was so nice!

Think I'm done?!? Nope,

Now I am off to go see "He's Just Not That Into You" with some girls from work. Seriously, I ask you, could it get any better?

'Cauz I'm thinkin' no.

Jealous. I want to be your sister. Or at least a friend who lives close enough for movies and pedis. Hope you have an equally wonderful Sunday.

I agree with Blondie, no definitely cannot get any better! As I told Shmem on her blog, jealous, very jealous. I'll take that kind of sisterly treatment when I come into town again. jk! Glad you had an amazing weekend. Thanks for giving Em such a great Friday night.

How was the movie? I really want to go see it!

Oh my gosh what a fun-filled weekend Kendra!! You go girl :) I've driven by The Melting Pot here in Vegas, and always wondered how it was. After hearing about it now (and see the pictures!) I want to go! It sounds delic! Plus, the dessert sounded out of this world too! I would definitely have to wear my comfy/stretchy pants after. Your comment about that made me chuckle :)
Glad you are having a great weekend.

Oh, I LOVE The Melting Pot! I'm not sure which course is my favorite because they are all so good! I think you just need to not have eaten for a couple of days prior to going there.

I know that Emily must have loved it, too! Glad that ya'll had such a fun time together!

Have a great week!
