Girls Trip!

*First off, thank you for your sweet comments about our big move!! I was smiling so big when I read them! SO encouraging!*

In early July I got to go visit my bestie in Albuquerque, New Mexico. One of the things I really wanted to do before we left the Country was get to see her one last time, and my sweet husband was on board to make that happen. We got to spend three days together and we had just the BEST time!

We walked around Old Town Albuquerque and enjoyed all the beautiful architecture...

Seriously, aren't we the cutest??

We went out to dinner whenever we wanted, and didn't cut up anyone else's food =). (it's funny because she has a two year old and reached down to grab my hand to cross the street a few times out of habit!)

We got amazing massages at this adorable boutique...

We went to Target and wandered around...

We went at got pedicures (pre-pedi picture)

(apparently we forgot a post-pedicure, you'll just have to trust me that we had some super cute toes!)

We went out for drinks...

More of Old Town...

I thought this little Last Supper statue looked a little crowded around the table...=)

The three days went by entirely too quickly, and before we knew it I was back at the airport, and she was making her long drive  home. I was so sad saying good-bye, but so grateful that we'd had that time together! It was such a relaxing trip full of decadence and laughter and good long talks.
Laura and I have been friends since we were 18 years old, and we've gone through Seasons of being closer than others, and even a short time in there where we didn't really talk. But one of the most amazing things about our friendship is we can always pick right back up where we left off.
Always.
I'll be forever grateful the Lord brought a friend who makes me laugh so hard, knows me so thoroughly, and who I can completely be myself around! It's a gift, and we've both learned over the last few years just how lucky we are to have each other.

Now to plan our next Girls Trip, for sometime in late 2017 =)

What an incredible 3 days for both you!! I'm so glad you were both able to have a much needed time together in person to relax, catch up and enjoy the city without the kids. You two are adorable! Maybe your Girl's Weekend in Late 2017 can be in Vegas.... Much love, Amanda
