Prayers please...

It's 1:24am, and I have been up for about an hour throwing up and dry heaving.

Would you mind saying a prayer for my family please?

Please pray that my sweet little 7 month old babies would be spared the stomach flu (or whatever it is I have), and that God would bless my body with a quick recovery, especially as I am a breastfeeding mother, and I would really like to continue to be.

Thanks all.

Since you are a breast feeding mother-they most likely won't get it. We will be praying. I worried with all 4 of mine when they nursed that they would catch what I would have since I was in such close contact. They never did.
They have such great protection from you. If they do get it though it will probably be very light. My littlest one did catch a stomach bug from her brother's and sister at about 9 months-she threw up once and that was it-just acted a little out of sorts for 2 days and ran a slight fever but she bounced back well.
Praying for you and for them.
So sorry.

I'm praying for you! That is terrible. It's awful to be sick when you're BFing, because you still have to do AT LEAST that part of the parenting. I hope you feel better soon and that someone can help you out until then!!

I had an episode like that when I was still nursing my first daughter. My lactation specialist told me to keep nursing through the sickness because my daughter would get the "good immunity" that my body was producing... if you aren't physically able (or don't want to breathe on the twins) you can pump to keep your supply up!

Just a little side note in case you were worried about making them sick from nursing.

Oh no! I hope it is a short bug and you are already starting to feel better. The good news about babies is that if they DO get it, in my limited experience so far, babies seem to get over illnesses a lot faster than everyone else.

Finger foods- We started with Baby MumMums, which disolve pretty quickly. Then we gave them some banana spears and moved on to the puffs. Honestly, it has gone SO much better than I thought- we've never even had a gagging episode yet, and I expected that we would since a baby's gag reflex is further up than ours is. Their pincher grasp has really improved since we started giving them puffs, and Sam has gotten good at "chewing" with his gums. Try finger foods!- you might be surprised how stress free it is!
